I see so many crazy busy in their day to day but seeing little forward progress in life as a whole. Why? Because time is spent on nonstop “busy” tasks, instead of on the things that will really move us forward.

But why is that?

The reasons are many including but not limited to:

  • Never taking the time to plan what you want life to be.
  • Feeling afraid to dream big or you might fail.
  • Not having the knowledge of exactly “how” to craft a vision.
  • Being stuck and not knowing how to get unstuck.

But, here’s the deal…

Having a clear vision is like having a map when you want to take a road trip across the country. Do you just get in the car and start driving? Probably not. Going through your life, day to day, without a clear plan is like getting in the car and driving around the block all day.

Having a vision can only help you. Imagine being able to sit down and plan your day and knowing exactly what you should say YES to (and where you should say NO). How about feeling accomplished at the end of a day because you worked on tasks which made a BIG difference in your life and not just the endless list of busy work?

It can happen, but only when you take the time to create a simple vision. This can be done as a Vision Statement, Vision Board, or both (which is ideal). As you sit down to plan your day, a quick peek at your big picture vision quickly makes it clear what you should and should not be working on each day.

It’s also fun. Plus, what we focus on expands. When we take the time to craft a clear picture of the life we want to live it helps us get there even faster.
